Corporate Responsibility

Being a responsible business is something we at Edelman take very seriously. In a continually changing world, we hope to empower our staff to be responsible citizens and to live and work in an environment of mutual respect. How do we do this?

Edelman Global Citizenship
Edelman has a long tradition of giving back to society through pro bono work. As a global leader in communications, we believe strongly in applying our abilities to advance issues of importance to society. For example in 2008 Edelman Ireland provided media relations support on a voluntary basis to Operation Smile Ireland – part of a global alliance of Operation Smile foundations and chapters dedicated to providing free reconstructive surgery and ongoing care to children and young adults suffering from cleft lips and cleft palates worldwide.

Green Team
The Edelman Ireland Green Team is actively working to reduce Edelman’s carbon footprint. We encourage the use of sustainable transport; monitor energy usage, including TVs and IT equipment; and have achieved a massive reduction in paper use in the office, to name but a few initiatives. We have made some serious changes to our ways of working, but have done so with lots of fun thrown in. We are already cleaner, greener and more energy efficient. There is plenty more to do, but we are well on our way to becoming carbon positive.

Living in Colour
Living in Colour is part of the Edelman culture – an aspiration for every one of our employees to be curious about the world around them and to explore their community. It is an opportunity for employees to immerse themselves in the arts, culture, politics, literature, charitable organisations and wherever else their passions may take them.
